A whole house, yours alone, one stop from Universal Studios, with the whole of Kansai at the end of the line.
“Here the house is yours from beginning to end: the three sleeping rooms, the kitchen, the big table. Nobody else, no corridor to share. Put the suitcases down, make yourself a coffee: Kansai can begin tomorrow morning.”
A whole house, yours alone
Kokoro Nest Osaka is an ippon-gashi: a house rented whole, never shared. Sixty-three quiet square metres, plus a loft under the roof, in the Konohana district: room enough for a family, a group of friends, or a team on the road.
The rooms are bright and new: the house opened in September 2025. A fitted kitchen, a big table, a large screen, a coffee machine: enough to actually live for a few days, rather than camp in a hotel.

An ordinary neighbourhood, covered in murals
Konohana is a shitamachi: an old working-class quarter on the Ajikawa river, one stop from Universal Studios. For a few years now artists from around the world have been painting its gable walls, dozens of murals, all within walking distance of the house. This is the Osaka you never see from a hotel downtown.

Dinner is under the elevated railway
Konohana is not a neighbourhood of restaurants for tourists: it is a neighbourhood where people eat. In the evening life moves towards Nishikujō, under the railway arches, where the izakaya line up and stay open late.

- Kushikatsu
- battered skewers, the Osaka speciality · 1.2 km
And the bath is round the corner
Next to Chidoribashi station, the closest one to the house, 千鳥温泉 is a neighbourhood sentō: wide scalding pools, a dry sauna, and water shared with the people who live here. It is the address we give for the end of the day.

Hanshin Namba line — the nearest station on foot.
Osaka Loop Line. From there, Kansai airport is direct, and Universal Studios is one stop away.
JR Yumesaki line, the neighbourhood’s other door.
Get off at Konohana Ward Office, then a 6-minute walk.
Five minutes from Nishikujō or Ajikawaguchi, about twenty from Osaka Station.
Words our guests left behind
“This is my second time. The first, I came alone; the house is so big that I thought we had to come back as a family, and there were four of us. […] I had heard about the Konohana murals: they are bigger and more vivid than I imagined. […] And what surprised me most was the coffee machine in the kitchen. I never expected proper coffee in a house like this.”
“The price was reasonable, but when I walked into the room: what a surprise! Very clean and very spacious. I was on my own this time, but I would like to come back with my family. […] Osaka, Namba and Kobe are all easy to reach.”
“The house is really big and spacious, new and very well equipped; the beds are very comfortable and everything was clean and well organised. […] The train noise did not bother us at all. It was actually quiet.”
“It was a great place to stay. Will book again in the future.”
